SUPERSTRUCTURE PAINTING  DURING TRANSIT

Superstructure Painting by Rope Access Technicians
Superstructure Painting While the Vessel is in Transit

Enhancing Appearance and Reputation

Protecting Metal from Corrosion

During the voyage, we quickly and efficiently paint the superstructure

1. Photo Reporting:
  • We prepare detailed "BEFORE" photos prior to commencing work.
  • Daily photographic updates are provided for each stage of work across all sections.
  • Upon completion, we compile a comprehensive work report.
  • Detailed "AFTER" photographs of the results are included.

2. Metal Surface Preparation for Painting:
  • Mechanical or abrasive blasting of affected areas to remove loose corrosion.
  • Hydro-blasting of the entire superstructure surface to remove contaminants.
  • Freshwater rinsing/desalination of the surface for long-lasting paint adhesion.

3. Metal Painting
  • Masking and protection of all surfaces not requiring painting (e.g., portholes, pipes, windows, lights, etc.).
  • Airless application of two-component protective coatings, ensuring optimal film thickness for durable protection.
  • Renewal of lettering, markings, and signal stripes.

Durable Crane Painting

Thorough Corrosion Removal

During the voyage, we quickly and efficiently paint each crane:

1. Inspection and Photo Report:
  • Preliminary Inspection: Assessment of the crane/mast's current condition, identifying corrosion spots and damage.
  • Detailed Photo Report: Documentation of "BEFORE," "DURING" (daily, by stage), and "AFTER" completion of work.
* Special attention is given to problematic areas.

2. Metal Surface Preparation for Painting:
! Implementation of LOTO (Lock-Out, Tag-Out) procedures for complete de-energization and isolation of the crane.
  • Mechanical, hydro-blasting, or spot abrasive blasting to bare metal, with particular focus on hard-to-reach joints, connections, and weld seams.
  • Freshwater rinsing/desalination to remove salts from the surface for maximum adhesion of the new coating.

3. Metal Painting:
  • Protection of Functional Elements: Meticulous masking and covering of all mechanisms, optics, sensors, signal lights, ropes, electrical lines, and limit switches.
  • Multi-layer Application: Application of specialized two-component marine coatings using airless spray technology, adhering to optimal film thickness and inter-coat drying times, ensuring high wear resistance and protection.
  • Restoration of Markings and Signal Stripes: Renewal of load capacity charts, warning signs, signal markings, and safety stripes.

HULL PAINTING  AT ANCHOR AND ROADS

Cleaning and Painting of the Vessel's Hull Above the Waterline
Cleaning and Painting of the Vessel's Hull by Rope Access Technicians

Painting Hulls Down to the Waterline

Cleaning and Painting of the Vessel's Hull at Anchor

Effortless Access to the Deck with Specialized Equipment

Thorough Surface Preparation for Painting

We offer hull painting services at roads or at anchor, strictly adhering to all conventions and safety regulations.

!  Important: According to international maritime conventions and safety requirements, painting a vessel's hull using suspended systems is strictly prohibited while underway (during transit) due to personnel safety risks.
We perform these works exclusively at anchor or at roads!

We understand that anchorage time is a valuable resource. Our team is prepared to accelerate the process through overtime work, including under cargo floodlights, to minimize the vessel's laytime and ensure its earliest possible departure for the next voyage.

Stages of Hull Painting Work at Anchor:

1. Detailed Photo Report:
  • Before Work Commences: Detailed photographs of the current hull condition, identifying all defects and corrosion spots.
  • Process Monitoring: Daily photo reports for each stage of work across all sections.
  • Upon Completion: A comprehensive photo report of the completed work, showcasing the impeccable results.

2. Professional Surface Preparation:
  • Removal of Old Coatings and Corrosion: Mechanical, hydro-blasting, or spot abrasive blasting of affected areas to bare metal (to the required St-3 or WJ-2 standard), ensuring ideal adhesion for the new layer.
  • Contaminant Removal: Hydro-blasting of the entire hull surface to remove dirt, salts, dust, and old flaking coatings.
  • Desalination: Thorough treatment of the surface with fresh water to remove chlorides, a fundamental condition for long-lasting anti-corrosion protection.

3. High-Quality Painting:
  • Protection of Adjacent Elements: Meticulous masking and covering of all surfaces not requiring painting (e.g., portholes, vessel name, markings, mooring bollards, etc.).
  • Airless Application: Application of modern two-component marine coatings using airless spray technology, adhering to optimal film thickness, inter-coat drying times, and temperature regimes.
  • Marking Restoration: Renewal of all necessary lettering, cargo markings, logos, and other designations on the hull.

Washing All High-Altitude Parts of the Hold: Coamings

We offer cargo hold washing and painting to Grain and Hospital standards.

We guarantee the preparation of cargo holds to "Grain" and even "Hospital" standards.
  • No hard-to-reach areas: By utilizing industrial rope access methods, we will wash and paint stringers, undersides of decks, bulkheads, coamings, and frames.
  • Fast and high-quality results without shore-based teams.
  • Thorough cleaning and painting protect the metal from corrosion.

Stages of Work for Cleaning and Painting High-Altitude Areas of Cargo Holds:

1. Preliminary Inspection and Photo Report:
  • Condition Assessment: Detailed inspection of the cargo hold (stringers, underside structures, bulkheads, coamings...).
  • Photo and Video Documentation: Detailed materials "BEFORE" work begins, daily reports by stage, and a final report demonstrating the achieved cleanliness and paint quality.

2. High-Altitude Cargo Hold Washing:
  • Removal of Cargo Residues: Dry cleaning and hydro-blasting for complete removal of previous cargo residues, dirt, dust, and loose rust from high-altitude areas of the hold.
  • Achieving "Grain" / "Hospital" Standards: Special attention is paid to the complete elimination of stains, odors, and any traces that could lead to contamination of new cargo.

3. Metal Surface Preparation for Painting (if required):
  • Mechanical: Local cleaning of corrosion-affected areas (stringers, underside elements, angle bars, upper parts of bulkheads).
  • Desalination: Thorough rinsing of all treated surfaces with fresh water to remove chlorides, which is crucial for the longevity of the new coating.

4. Painting High-Altitude Areas of Cargo Holds:
  • Spot or Full Painting: Application of epoxy or other highly resistant coatings to stringers, underside structures, upper parts of bulkheads, and other high-altitude elements subject to wear and corrosion.
  • Airless Application: We use airless spray application, adhering to optimal film thickness.
  • Marking Restoration: If necessary, we will restore load lines, markers, and other designations inside the cargo hold.
